Our CEO, Ms. L, has completed the GIA Pearl Grading Lab class offered by the Gemological Institute of America. The hands-on class teaches the evaluation of cultured pearls—including South Sea, Akoya, Tahitian, and freshwater pearls—using the GIA 7 Pearl Value Factors™.

Those seven factors are size, shape, color, luster, surface, nacre, and matching. Together, they provide a consistent framework for understanding a pearl’s appearance and quality. This training strengthens the expertise behind our product selection and helps us give customers clearer, more informed guidance.

Ms. L’s completion of the class is an educational achievement. It does not mean that every item sold by L’s Pearls has an individual GIA laboratory report. When a particular piece includes documentation, the product description will state that clearly.
